You opened your eyes and blinked.

This was like a fairy tale! There were so many people dressed in a really fancy way, carriages and you just loved the view you had of the horizon.

The sun was rising and it’s rays were making the water sparkle.

You were at some port, according to Alfred in England, where your friend must have been taken after he was kidnapped.

‘Okay, Here is what I have so far: Alfred and Kiku created a portal. This portal leads you back in time. To open the portal you must use Kiku’s TV remote. Alfred called me and he must have been kidnapped after that.’ You let out a sigh and rubbed your forehead.

“How stupid can you be Alfie…” you looked around, not sure where to start looking for your friend or how to look for him.

“You knew the portal worked and you didn’t close it… just you wait until I get my hands on you!” you muttered.

You went to a building, sat down and started rummaging through your bag.

“There must be something useful in here…” you kept muttering.

“Aha! My wallet! I have a picture of Alfred in my wallet!” after you found your wallet you quickly found the picture of your American friend and got up. Normally, in such situations you would do your happy dance but you would get even more weird looks from the people who were around you. You already got enough of those because of the way you were dressed.

“Now where to start from…” you looked around.

‘Gosh, all of these people look like rich bastards who would shoo me away as soon as I got close to them. Hmm…’

In the end you just did it and started asking people if they have seen Alfie. You spent your entire day looking for him. Your feet ached from all of the walking you did.

It had gotten dark and you were at the docks and you were still asking whoever was still there if they’ve seen Alfred. You didn’t manage to find him and it was getting pretty late. And it started raining.

“Great… I have to find a place to stay. Sleeping on the streets probably isn’t the best idea. But I have no money…” you bit your lip slightly, trying to think of a solution as you ran, trying to find shelter from the rain.

You stumbled upon a noisy inn which appeared to be very lively.

“Might as well try…”

As you walked inside you were pretty scared when a bottle of wine was flung your way and shattered on the wall, leaving a red stain.

It was very crowded. The waitresses weren’t many and looked like they were having trouble serving all of the customers.

You made your way to the bar where a fairly old woman stood.

“Uhm… excuse me…”

She looked at you and smiled.

“Hello, darling. What leads you here? I haven’t seen you around before. Are you new in town?”

“I am on a trip here. I was with my friend Alfred but we got separated and I am trying to find him. And I was looking for a place to stay…” you trailed off.

“Alfred, huh? What does he look like?” She asked and you handed her the picture.

“Sorry, haven’t seen him. And since you are looking for a place to stay you can stay here.”

“I don’t have any money.”

“You can work here and in return I will give you a room. You can stay here as long as you like.” She said with a slight smile.

Your eyes widened and you smiled.

“Thank you! Thank you so much!”

And just like that you started working. After a few hours, Mary, the woman who let you stay in the inn, told you you can go to sleep. The customers weren’t as many as they were before.

She led you to your room, unlocked it and gave you the keys. You thanked her again and went inside.

The room was small but cozy. There was a small bed, a desk and a chair, a night stand and a door which you led to the bathroom.

You didn’t have any pajamas so you just jumped on the bed and fell asleep.

The next few days passed in a similar way. Looking for Alfred, working and going to sleep. You also talked to Mary a lot. She seemed to know everything that was going around here. And still, you couldn’t find the American.

Tonight was no different. You weren’t that tired so you decided to stay up and work late. You were helping Mary and two other girls clean the tables and the floor.

“Alright! This was the last table!” Mary said as she smiled.

“Good job, girls. Now, let’s all go to bed.”

You were sleeping soundly when you heard some noise which came from outside.

After getting up you rubbed your eyes and stretched.

“What was that?” You walked over to the window but saw nothing.

“How odd…”

You stood at the window for a little longer and went back to bed. Without realizing it, you drifted off.

***

“…ke”

You were being shook by someobody.

“…up…”

Ugh.

Can’t I sleep just a little longer?

Whoever was shaking you, didn’t seem like they were going to stop doing it until you got up. You felt that you were leaving dream land.

“WAKE UP!” You jolted awake.

Mary stood next to you, a frightened look on her face.

“We have to go! Run!”

She pulled you off the bed and started dragging you down.

Your eyes widened: the once lively inn looked like a mess. Someone had set it on fire and almost everything was burning. You managed to escape but had no time to gaze at the inn. The fire was getting worse with each passed second.

“Mary… what’s happening?” You asked.

This was starting to scare you. Many people were out on the streets and were running away from the docks just like you. You could hear gunshots and see dead bodies. They weren’t shot.

They had been trampled.

You were taking  deep breaths as you ran with Mary.

“What are we running from?!” You inquired once again.

“Pirates.”

***

And while you were running you got separated. You were looking for Mary when you found a dead body. You didn’t know who it was and you didn’t want to know. You just took the gun which laid near it since you figured out you would need some sort of protection. You were pretty sure you couldn’t use your knife because it was too small and you probably wouldn’t get the chance to get close enough to use it if someone attacked you.

You found yourself in an alleyway and you just kept walking. You didn’t know where it lead to but it was alright as long as you weren’t found.

When you reached its end you froze. It lead to the docks.

“This is bad. This is very very bad. I must go back before someone sees me!” You quickly turned, ready to sprint away when-

“Stop it right there, wench.”

You stopped and didn’t dare to move.

“Turn around.”

Slowly turning around you saw a man. The stranger was pointing a gun at you.

He was wearing a captain’s had which had white feathers sticking out of it, an eyepatch, brown trousers, a white shirt which was slightly unbuttoned and you could see his chest, a necklace and a brown vest. He was also wearing a fancy-looking blood red coat.

He started walking closer, coming towards you and you started to back away. That is, until your back hit a wall.

He came closer until you could clearly see his face.

The stranger had blonde hair and ridiculously huge eyebrows.

But what scared you the most were his eyes.

They were so green.

Still… they looked extremely dull.

Deprived of any kind of happiness. They looked so… sad.

Before you could realize what was happening he started searching you for weapons. He took your gun and threw it away and then he took your bag. He didn’t bother opening it and looking what was inside.

You were holding your breath and just staring at him. He leaned closer, cupped your chin with his hand and started inspecting your face.

‘Well, this is awkward.’

You did your best to avoid his gaze.

“You have such a pretty face…” He said.

You didn’t respond. Right now, you couldn’t care less about what he was saying. You just wanted to find a way to get away from him.

“Tut tut. Not going to thank me? That’s quite rude, poppet.” He was smirking. You could feel the damn bastard smirking. And it annoyed you.

So you did what any normal girl in your situation would do.

You kicked him where the sun doesn’t shine, took your gun and ran away.

Of course, he was extremely angry and when he recovered he followed you.

***

And that is exactly how you found yourself in your current situation: Looking around, trying to find a place to hide, holding your pistol tightly and wondering how all of this happened.

When your eyes fell upon some barrels. You hid behind them and waited.

Soon you heard his heeled boots.

“Come out, come out wherever you are~.” His voice sounded playful.

Was this guy some sort of sadist?

…Probably. You wouldn’t know and you didn’t want to know.

“Just come out. I am not in the mood to play your little games. If you come out now, I promise I wont hurt you…”The blonde pirate said.

“…Too much.” He added soon after.

You just stood there, behind the barrels, trembling.

Things were quiet for a while.

‘Did he go away?’ you wondered. ‘I didn’t hear his boots so maybe he is still here?’

You just sat there for a while, clutching your pistol like a little girl who clutched her favorite teddy bear.

You couldn’t feel his presence around you anymore and let out a relieved sigh.

Big mistake.

The barrels were kicked away from you and you looked up to see the blonde captain smirking at you.

“Found you.”

To be continued…
Annnnnnnnnnd our favourite pirate appears! :iconyaypirateenglandplz:

Whew.
I've been writing this chapter since this morning and god, it sure took me a while! I rewrote it about ten times and finally decided that what you just read was a-okay. xD

And when I say I've been writing this chapter since this morning we are ignoring the fact that I was out for a long time. I went to the cinema with my friends and saw Divergent.
Damn.
The movie was awesome and I will totally read the books after I finish Days of Blood and Starling and Looking for Alaska.

Enough chit-chat! I hope you enjoy this chapter and if you notice any mistakes do tell me! I will fix them as soon as possible! ^^
